2020 AMRA Season Opener

Well…with the season opener just around the corner, the American Motorcycle Racing Association is prepared to take the show on the road to Orlando Speed World March 14th-15th for the Florida Sunshine Nationals.  15 classes of American V-Twin drag bikes will show up to compete for the first win of the year.  200 mph Nitro Bikes, no-bar wheel-standing Pro Street machines, wild Dressers and several fierce bracket classes will keep the action happening fast.  Saturday, starting at noon, three rounds of qualifying will set the pairing for Sunday’s single round eliminations.  After qualifying on Saturday, the South of the Blues band will light up the stage with some great rock and roll music.  Sunday, at high noon, as the last note of the National Anthem rings through the air, the first pair of Nitro Harleys will fire up to decide who moves on to the next round and who ends up on the trailer.  These one-on-one battles will continue throughout the day until 15 riders stand as class winners.  With open pits, fans get an up close look at these custom race bikes and talk to the teams of people that make American V-Twin motorcycle drag racing the fastest good time on two wheels!

If you’re thinking about putting your bike on the track, it’s a pretty easy and straight forward process.  Even if you’re not sure which class to enter based on performance, the Eliminator class is an all-qualify dial-in class set up to evenly match each pair of bikes.  Start by becoming a member and picking a class to run.  You can do both online at amralive.com or, on-site at the AMRA Registration trailer.  We’re always eager to attract new and hidden talent so join and let us help you on your way to becoming a future class champion.

The AMRA would like to thank each of it returning and new sponsors for being there to support the organization and the sport in general.  Baker Drivetrain, Thundermax, Horsepower Inc , Vreeland’s Harley Davidson, BK Electric, Bench Mark Excavating, Motolenz Photos and Vanson Leathers have all come on board.  These companies recognize the talent, action and exposure at these events and, without them, the AMRA would not be what it is today.  By using these sponsors’ product or service, you, in turn, are supporting the sport we all love.

Complete event details can be found on the 2020 Schedule at amralive.com or by following us on Facebook using American Motorcycle Racing Association or @amradrags.

Come be part of the action!
